Caretaker 

• Annual Salary: £27,155 - £29,604
• Location: Leatherhead
• Job Type: Full-time (36 hours per week on a 3-week rolling shift pattern)

Day-to-day of the role:

• Ensure the school site is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming by performing general maintenance and cleaning duties.
• Provide technical and practical support to the Design Technology department, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining workshop facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain records to comply with statutory requirements.
• Participate in the security of the school by managing access, monitoring premises, and responding to emergencies.
• Support the school's cultural and community life by contributing to events and activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good general education and a clean UK driving licence.
• Experience in site maintenance or a building services role with skills in carpentry, painting, and basic electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools and preparing materials for DT projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Desirable: Experience in an educational setting and familiarity with CAD/CAM packages.
