Day-to-day of the role: Ensure the school site is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming by performing general maintenance and cleaning duties. Provide technical and practical support to the Design Technology department, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining workshop facilities. Conduct routine inspections and maintain records to comply with statutory requirements. Participate in the security of the school by managing access, monitoring premises, and responding to emergencies. Support the school's cultural and community life by contributing to events and activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Good general education and a clean UK driving licence. Experience in site maintenance or a building services role with skills in carpentry, painting, and basic electrical and plumbing tasks. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them effectively. Proficiency in using hand and power tools and preparing materials for DT projects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Desirable: Experience in an educational setting and familiarity with CAD/CAM packages.
