School Site Manager - Canterbury Hours: Monday to Friday Pay: £14+ per hour Employer: Working on behalf of Academics for a local schoolAcademics are currently recruiting a full-time School Site Manager to support a friendly local school in Canterbury. This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone with experience in caretaking, facilities management, or school site operations.Key Responsibilities:Overseeing the opening, closing, and security of the school siteManaging general site maintenance, repairs, and building upkeepCarrying out regular health & safety checks and ensuring complianceSupervising and coordinating site staff, contractors, and cleaning teamsSetting up rooms and facilities for school activities, events, and functionsEnsuring school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintainedSupporting staff with ad-hoc site and facilities-related tasksImplementing and maintaining site policies and operational proceduresThe Ideal Candidate:Previous experience in a site management, caretaker, or facilities role (preferred)Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff and contractorsPractical, hands-on, and proactive approach to problem-solvingSolid understanding of health & safety regulationsAbility to work independently and take initiativeEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)This is a fantastic opportunity to work full-time, school-friendly hours in a supportive and welcoming environment.JBRP1_UKTJ
