Job Description
Our client, a prominent US law firm, is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support its European Capital Markets practice. This role is well suited to candidates with exposure to capital markets, banking, finance or advisory environments who are interested in a commercially focused, client-facing role beyond pure execution.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support high-profile transactions and client initiatives through market analysis, pitch support, client engagement activity and strategic marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pitches, RFIs and proposals for Capital Markets mandates, including market research, competitor analysis and preparation of client materials
- Monitor market, regulatory and deal activity across equity and debt capital markets
- Maintain deal credentials, transaction data and client-facing presentations
- Support legal directory and awards submissions linked to major transactions
- Assist with client development initiatives, including conferences, roadshows and client events
- Identify and support speaking, sponsorship and industry engagement opportunities
- Collaborate with international teams to deliver consistent, high-quality client materials
Requirements
- Experience in legal business development alongside, a strong interest in capital markets, finance, banking.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to translate market information into clear client materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Proactive, commercially minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
