Overview MCS Group are delighted to be recruiting a Business Development Manager for an innovative mechanical and electrical design company. This opportunity is ideal for someone with technical knowledge in engineering or mechanics who is eager to own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and bid submissions through to negotiation and closing. We are looking for a proactive and commercially astute individual to join the team, hit the ground running, and make an immediate impact on business growth. You'll be part of an ambitious, niche engineering firm with established clients and exciting technical projects across Europe. Key Responsibilities Attend networking events and industry functions to represent the firm and generate leads. Partnering with contractors and architects to deliver mechanical and electrical designs for projects. Leverage your technical or construction background to engage with clients Own the full sales pipeline, from lead generation and bid submissions to closing new business. Experience in bid submissions would be highly advantageous. Represent the company at tradeshows and exhibitions, promoting services and forging new client relationships. Liaise with decision-makers at data centres, architects, pharma companies, large-scale contractors ensuring high standards and technical credibility. Essential Criteria and Qualifications Technical, electrical or construction sales background with familiarity in building services. Strong experience or potential in bid submissions and structured sales processes. Highly motivated and able to work independently in a small, agile team environment. Passionate about generating business, maintaining pipeline integrity and driving results. What's on Offer Primarily remote working arrangement, with attendance at shows and exhibitions as required.
