Wavenet is a vibrant and fast‑paced technology and communications provider dedicated to innovation and inclusivity. We are looking for an ambitious and results‑oriented Business Development Director with specialised knowledge in the public sector to drive new business initiatives within our growing Public Sector sales team. In this 100% new business-focused role, you will work remotely with the support of a high-performing team, taking full ownership of identifying and converting opportunities within a defined vertical. If you’re ready to elevate your career in a dynamic environment that values diversity and collaboration, this position is for you!Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business exclusively within a targeted vertical.Develop and manage a personal 30‑60‑90 day success plan tailored to your pipeline.Define and maintain a rolling list of 100 prospects in your vertical and product area.Utilise HubSpot for activity management, forecasting, and campaign execution.Collaborate with your team on joint campaigns and innovative go‑to‑market strategies.Create vertical‑specific content to support our marketing efforts.Lead marketing initiatives such as webinars, roundtables, and events focused on your vertical.Identify and engage early‑stage opportunities and work with suppliers to enhance solution alignment.Navigate public sector governance to effectively position Wavenet’s unique differentiators.QualificationsProven track record in new business sales, with a knack for opening doors and fostering conversations within your vertical.Strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks (e.g., RM6116 NS3, RM6100 TS3, YPO, G‑Cloud).Proficient with profiling and prospecting tools like Sales Navigator, Cognism, and HubSpot.Experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns and events aligned with Wavenet’s offerings (Cyber, Cloud, UC, CCaaS, Networking, etc.).Exceptional writing and presentation skills, particularly in bid submissions.Strong ability to manage sales processes across the entire cycle effectively.Additional InformationAnnual Leave: Start your journey with 25 days of leave, increasing by one day each year up to 28 days our way of expressing appreciation for your dedication.Health & Wellbeing: Your wellbeing is our priority.
