We are looking to appoint two Building Safety Officers,who will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Building Safety across One Manchesters (OM) portfolio of Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and other in-scope buildings.
Working as part of the Building Safety Team you will be personally responsible for carrying out asset compliance inspections (including fire doors) and undertaking resident engagement fora number ofHRBs and other in-scope buildings. This is to ensure we are meeting our statutory obligations including safety processes, responding to operationalneedsand supporting compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This is a dynamic and varied role that requires awareness of building safety risk management, flexibility, strong organisationskillsand a customer focused approach.
What we are looking for:
Ideally have worked in the Social Housing sector within Building Safety, Compliance, Health and Safety, Maintenance, Neighbourhoods or Facilities Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards Sound understanding of Building Safety principlesin order toensure the safety of HRBs and other OM in-scope buildings Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritise work to ensure that deadlines are met Strong customer focus as well as being collaborative,personableand professional Have a full driving license and access to a vehicle insured for business use as you will be visiting sites across South and East Manchester
