We are currently recruiting for a Building Safety Lead on behalf of Warwick District Council to play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, fire safety regulations, and wider statutory property obligations. Working across a large and varied residential asset base, this is a strategic and operational leadership role. You’ll act as the key point of contact for the Building Safety Regulator in relation to High-Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) and will oversee the development and delivery of the council’s building safety strategy, including the "big 7" compliance areas: gas, electric, asbestos, fire, water hygiene, lifts, and overall structural safety.
Responsibilities: Lead the council’s compliance with building safety and fire safety legislation, including development and maintenance of building safety cases. Act as the designated point of contact for the Building Safety Regulator for HRRBs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Oversee delivery and monitoring of statutory compliance for all safety-related disciplines including asbestos, lifts, water hygiene, gas, electrical, and fire.
