Principal General Building Control Inspector Hourly Rate: £45–£50 Location: M60, Manchester Join our Planning, Licensing & Building Control team within the Growth & Development directorate at the Council. As a Principal General Building Control Inspector, you will lead and deliver complex and specialist building control services across a significant area of responsibility. This role is crucial in providing expert technical consultancy, overseeing major projects, and contributing to strategic and operational objectives. Day-to-day of the role: Act as a subject matter expert in building control, delivering innovative and compliant technical solutions. Lead the design and implementation of frameworks that support effective service delivery. Manage and deliver complex work packages to meet legal, strategic, and customer requirements. Support the development and review of organisational strategies and ensure performance targets are met. Provide operational and strategic input into regulatory inspections and governance processes.
