As our Building & Housing Manager, youll be the on-site lead at The Pinnacle- making sure the building runs smoothly, repairs are completed promptly, and residents receive clear, consistent support.This role is ideal for someone who is practical, people-focused and confident taking ownership of both building safety and customer experience.The RoleYoull take responsibility for the day-to-day running of The Pinnacle, combining hands-on building care with excellent customer service. From logging repairs to carrying out small maintenance jobs and keeping communal areas clean and well-presented, youll be the buildings eyes and ears being able to identify issues early and making sure theyre dealt with effectively.Your work will directly shape how safe, supported and informed residents feel in their home.What Youll LeadDaily repairs and maintenance, including logging issues and carrying out basic handy-person tasksHigh-standard presentation of communal areas, including occasional cleaningRegular walk-throughs and safety checks, with a strong focus on fire safety and hazard spottingOn-site coordination and monitoring of contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to standardStrong relationships with residents, offering reassurance, practical help and clear updatesEffective communication between residents, contractors and NCHA teamsAccurate record-keeping of repairs, compliance checks, resident interactions and contractor activityWhat Youll BringExperience in a customer-facing role, ideally within housing, building management or compliancePractical skills and confidence handling minor maintenance tasksStrong knowledge (or willingness to develop) in areas such as CDM 2015, Asbestos awareness, building regulations and housing standardsCIH Level 3 or willingness to work towards itExcellent organisation, clear communication and the ability to remain calm and consistentA proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to NCHAs CLEAR valuesAbility to work independently while contributing to wider team prioritiesCompetent IT skills and attention to detail in reportingFull UK driving licenceWillingness to work occasional evenings or weekends when neededYoull work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday,with your primary base on site atThePinnacle (Northampton).Why NCHA?Youll join a supportive organisation with a strong sense of purpose and a reputation as one of the UKs Best Workplaces.Here, youll be part of a team that genuinely cares about creating safe, welcoming spaces for residents and values colleagues who bring energy, integrity and compassion to their work.Please note:We are not currently offering visa sponsorship.JBRP1_UKTJ
