Were hiring a talented Back End Engineer to join a fast-growing, product-led technology business undergoing major platform transformation. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Back End Engineer to build highly scalable systems that power modern customer and retailer experiences.

As a Back End Engineer, youll work in a collaborative engineering team where your ideas are valued and your impact is real. This Back End Engineer role gives you exposure to cloud-native architecture, microservices and large-scale data platforms in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

What youll be doing as a Back End Engineer:

Designing and building highly scalable backend services

Owning services from build through to deployment and optimisation

Working closely with Product, Design and commercial teams

Driving improvements in architecture, tooling and development practices

Contributing through code reviews, pair programming and technical discussions

Building and deploying services on AWS using cloud-native tools and services

Tech environment:

Python, FastAPI, Django, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, GitHub, Helm

What were looking for in a Back End Engineer:

Strong commercial experience building backend systems in Python

Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services

Experience working with cloud-native or microservice architectures

Solid knowledge of databases, OO design, data structures and SOLID principles

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
