Autism Support Assistant

Salary: £29,412 to £30,240 per annum
Start: Spring Term 2026
Location: Cricklewood, Brent NW2

Are you passionate about helping pupils with Autism to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential? Were recruiting two Autism Support Assistants to join a specialist setting supporting pupils aged 7 to 16 with Autism and associated needs .

This is a hands-on role for someone who brings energy, patience, and consistency to the classroom and takes pride in making a measurable difference every day.

The role
You will:
Support teachers to deliver structured, engaging lessons
Provide tailored support to pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Deliver bespoke interventions in partnership with teaching staff and wider support teams
Encourage communication, independence, and emotional regulation through consistent routines
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
A Bachelors degree from a UK university
Experience supporting children with SEND , ideally Autism, in an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, team-first attitude and a genuine commitment to pupil progress
