Associate Interior Designer

Job Description

The Studio

This Central London–based architecture studio has grown to a team of nearly 20 over the past decade. The founders come from established design backgrounds and have built a reputation for work that is measured, refined, and quietly confident within the high-end residential sector.

Their projects span both historic and contemporary schemes, often requiring a careful, considered approach and that always respond to context of the space

The Opportunity

The studio is now looking to introduce interiors as a dedicated discipline for the first time. This role will focus on two private residential projects in London and the Home Counties, where both the architecture and interiors sit under one roof.

This is a heavily FF&E-led position, working directly with the founders to establish an interior language that sits naturally alongside the architecture. The role covers the full design process, from early concept and spatial planning through to specification, procurement, and installation.

You will be responsible for sourcing, supplier coordination, and delivering the scheme in full, ensuring the design intent is carried through to completion.

Alongside this, the role is client-facing. You will be involved in shaping briefs, presenting ideas, and managing changes in a way that maintains clarity and consistency across the project.

The Candidate

  • Strong experience delivering high-end residential projects from concept through to completion
  • Confident across spatial planning, FF&E design, and technical detailing
  • Deep understanding of furniture, materials, lighting, and bespoke joinery
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver fully resolved FF&E schemes
  • Experience managing procurement, including supplier coordination, budgeting, and lead times
  • Well-connected across UK and European suppliers, makers, and fabricators
  • Comfortable leading client relationships and presenting work at all stages
  • Able to work closely with architects to deliver a cohesive, integrated design
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
  • Strong eye for materiality, proportion, and composition
  • Confident on site, working alongside contractors and resolving issues as they arise
  • Experience working with UHNW clients and understanding their expectations
  • Clear and effective communicator, both internally and externally
  • Portfolio demonstrating involvement from concept through to final delivery
