Rayden Engineering Ltd is a highly respected contractor within the utilities and infrastructure sectors, delivering quality to customers through a dedicated and driven team. We are seeking an Estimator with experience in civils, utilities, or related engineering disciplines. This role is ideal for someone with an established estimating background or a technically strong graduate with first principles estimating capabilities looking to grow in a practical environment.

• Prepare take-offs and develop tender submissions.

• Organise tender enquiries and manage correspondence.

• Produce accurate estimates in a timely, efficient manner.

• Review technical and project information to create cost breakdowns.

• Work closely with project teams to support winning bids.

• Proven experience in estimating within utilities (gas, water, power) and/or pipeline civil engineering.

• Experience in pricing from first principles (essential).

• Strong track record in securing projects through tenders.

• Understanding of project management practices and terminology.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ideally including Microsoft Project.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Degree or HNC in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent).

• Previous engineering/site experience.

• Minimum 5 years estimating experience preferred however, technically strong candidates with first principles understanding and high motivation will be considered.

• Strong commercial awareness.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organised, proactive and self-driven.

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
