The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for processing and managing the company’s invoices, payments, expenses, and vendor accounts accurately and on time. This role ensures compliance with company policies and financial regulations while supporting the finance team in maintaining smooth operations. The Accounts Payable Assistant will be required to process high volumes of invoices and create strong relationships with key stakeholders.Duties of the Accounts Payable Assistant include:Process and verify invoices, expense claims, and purchase orders in a timely manner.Ensure accurate coding of invoices and proper authorisation according to company policies.Prepare and process payments via bank transfers, cheques, or other approved methods.Manage the urgent payment report and remittance notifications to suppliers.Support management accountant with bank reconciliation discrepancies.Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts, resolving discrepancies or disputes promptly.
