Accounts Payable Assistant (12 months FTC maternity cover)

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant (mat cover) to join our Finance team in London. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the role will manage the Accounts Payable function for all entities in the Group.

This is a maternity cover contract role for 12 months. It is a full-time role based at our office in Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross, London.

About the role:

The Account Payable Assistant holds a key role in the Transactional Finance Team, responsible for the following:

• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate supplier accounts
• Processing and matching stock invoices to purchase orders
• Coding of invoices, working closely with the Management Accounts team to ensure accuracy
• Reconciling supplier statements to ensure all supplier accounts are up to date
• Processing employee expenses and ensuring prompt payment
• Preparing weekly payment runs in all currencies
• Posting journals for all Accounts Payable payments
• Running the Aged Creditors report on a regular basis and investigating accounts with queries
• Preparing month end balance sheet reconciliations relating to Accounts Payable
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for the business
• Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks as required

About you:

We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment. Further we are looking for:

• Previous accounts payable experience within a fast paced environment
• Great attention to detail and very organised
• Able to build relationships across the organisation
• Pro-active approach, highlighting issues and able to problem solve
• Previous experience of Navision is advantageous however not a requirement
