Teaching Assistant (EYFS) - Personal Care Support Location: NG18 Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary Start Date: Sept 2025

We are supporting a Primary Academy that are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS team, with a specific focus on providing personal care and tailored support to individual pupils with special needs. Key Responsibilities:

Provide classroom support under the direction of the class teacher to ensure all children can access the curriculum. Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions as required. Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, changing, and hygiene support, in a respectful and dignified manner. Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Monitor and report on pupil progress and welfare to the class teacher and SENCO. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting. Be confident in providing personal care with sensitivity and discretion. Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills. Show patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to behaviour and learning support. Hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
