Teaching Assistant (EYFS) - Personal Care Support Location: NG18 Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary Start Date: Sept 2025 We are supporting a Primary Academy that are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS team, with a specific focus on providing personal care and tailored support to individual pupils with special needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide classroom support under the direction of the class teacher to ensure all children can access the curriculum. Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions as required. Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, changing, and hygiene support, in a respectful and dignified manner. Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Monitor and report on pupil progress and welfare to the class teacher and SENCO. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals. The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting. Be confident in providing personal care with sensitivity and discretion. Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills. Show patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to behaviour and learning support.
