1:1 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are currently looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism within KS1. You will be supporting the pupil throughout their learning, development and school life.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will work closely with the pupil, the class teacher and family to help support the pupil both inside and outside of school. You will provide tailored support, build a positive relationship and promote the pupils well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Support the pupil throughout the school (School Drop Off, Lessons, Outdoor Play and Meals)
Deliver aspects of the pupil's EHCP
Work alongside Teachers to develop strategies that support learning and inclusion
Promote positive resources
Liaise with family to help tailor supportRequirements

Experience working with children in a Primary Setting
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build relationships and act as a positive support network to pupil and family
Empathy and patience where required
Experience with promoting child development and supportWe Offer
