Year 6 General Teaching Assistant - Kensington
Location: Kensington and Chelsea
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

A warm, well-run primary school in Kensington and Chelsea is seeking a confident and capable Year 6 General Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a well-paid, well-supported role in a small, welcoming school with high expectations and a calm, purposeful learning environment.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the Year 6 curriculum, helping pupils stay focused, confident, and ready for the transition to secondary school. A strong understanding of the Year 6 / KS2 curriculum is essential, particularly in English and Maths.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have a secure knowledge of the Year 6 / KS2 curriculum

Be confident supporting learning in English and Maths

Work proactively with the class teacher and wider team

Bring a calm, reliable, and professional approach to the classroom

Be happy supporting pupils both academically and pastorally

Ideally have prior experience as a TA in KS2

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (KS2 preferred)

Good understanding of the primary curriculum, especially Year 6

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Professional references and, if applicable, overseas police checks
