About the Role Full-time, permanent Year 6 teaching position Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school Support pupils academically and emotionally through their final year of primary education Work collaboratively with a parallel class teacher and supportive leadership team Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving school environment The School Offers A welcoming and inclusive 2-form entry setting Modern, bright, and well-resourced classrooms Excellent outdoor space including a large field Supportive senior leadership team and collaborative staff culture Opportunities for professional development and career progression A strong focus on pupil wellbeing and positive behaviour Person Specification (Aligned to Teaching Standards) We are looking for a teacher who: Sets high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge all pupils Demonstrates strong subject and curriculum knowledge, particularly within upper KS2 Plans and teaches well-structured lessons, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners Uses assessment effectively to support progress and raise attainment Manages behaviour effectively, creating a safe and respectful learning environment Promotes good progress and outcomes for all pupils, including those with additional needs Fulfils wider professional responsibilities, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community Is reflective, committed to professional development, and eager to contribute to school life Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching in KS2 (Year 6 experience desirable but not essential) A passion for raising attainment and supporting pupils through SATs preparation A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and supportive school where both staff and pupils are valued.
