Year 5 Teacher - Waltham Forest - MPS/UPS - Full Time - September Start - Primary School

A full-time opportunity has become available for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Waltham Forest. This long-term role is available for a September start and offers a competitive salary in line with MPS/UPS, depending on experience.

Do you have experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5?
Are you confident in preparing pupils for upper KS2 and future SATs?
Do you have a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, including literacy and numeracy development?

The Role - Year 5 Teacher
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will support pupils in developing key skills in preparation for Year 6, with a strong focus on reading, writing, maths, and the wider curriculum.

You will assess pupil progress regularly, adapt planning to meet individual needs, and provide targeted support where necessary. Working closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other staff, you will help support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN.

Strong classroom management, a nurturing approach, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment are essential for this role.
