Year 5 Class Teacher Primary School – London Borough of Waltham Forest
Start Date: After Easter 2026 Contract: Full-time, Temporary/Long-term Salary:£180 – £220 per day
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a welcoming and supportive primary school in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, for a committed Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team after the Easter break 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working in Upper Key Stage 2 and is passionate about delivering engaging lessons that help pupils build strong academic foundations ahead of Year 6.
The role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Year 5 class, planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum. You will work closely with colleagues to support pupil progress while encouraging confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
The school is looking for someone who:
Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Demonstrates effective classroom management and high expectations for pupils
Can deliver engaging lessons that support progress in reading, writing, and mathematics
Uses assessment to inform planning and support pupil development
Works well within a collaborative team environment
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
