Academics are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in North Leeds. This is a long term position starting after February half term until the end of the academic year, with the exciting opportunity to transition into a permanent contract from September 2026.
With a high percentage of SEND and EAL pupils, the school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and supportive team. The successful Year 5 teacher will bring creativity, resilience, and a passion for meeting the needs of every learner. Previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs would be highly beneficial.
As a Year 5 teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum Differentiate effectively to support children with a range of abilities Work collaboratively with colleagues in the year group and across the school Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school communityThe ideal Year 5 teacher will:
Hold QTS or equivalent Have proven classroom experience, ideally in Key Stage 2 Demonstrate a strong understanding of strategies for supporting SEND and EAL pupils Be committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential Have DBS on the update service or willing to apply for oneThis is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Year 5 teacher looking for your next role in Leeds
