Role Responsibilities - Upper KS2 Teacher

As an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 curriculum

Prepare pupils for Key Stage 2 SATs and support academic progress

Assess, monitor, and track pupil attainment and development

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Support pupils' transition to secondary education

Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Upper KS2 Teacher committed to delivering excellent teaching and supporting pupil success.

Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 4, Year 5, or Year 6), or strong readiness to step into the role

Good understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATs preparation

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Right to work in the UK

Desirable

Experience preparing pupils for KS2 SATs

Ability to deliver engaging and creative lessons

Commitment to professional development and teamwork
