About the Role

Veritas Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class at a friendly and supportive primary school in Lancaster. This is a long-term opportunity, starting immediately and continuing into the next academic year, for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Working with small groups of pupils to support learning across the curriculum Providing behaviour management support in line with school policies Supporting phonics sessions and early literacy development Delivering targeted interventions to help pupils make progress Providing one-to-one support where required, including pupils with additional needs Supporting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children in a primary school setting (Year 3 / KS2 desirable) Confidence in supporting behaviour management positively and consistently Knowledge or experience of phonics and intervention programmes Patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with pupils Reliable and able to commit to 09:00-15:00, Monday to Friday
