Year 2 Class Teacher

Contract: Full-time, Secondment cover, January to July 2026 Location: Croydon

A well-regarded primary school in South Croydon is looking to appoint a full-time Year 2 Class Teacher to join them on a permanent basis.

Situated in a leafy part of Croydon, this school is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Year 2 Teacher to join their welcoming team. The headteacher is particularly keen to appoint a teacher with at least 2 years primary teaching experience, ideally a MPS1 - MPS6 Teacher, who can contribute positively to the school's warm, child-centred environment during this temporary contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class within Key Stage 1

Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Support pupils in developing key literacy and numeracy skills in preparation for end-of-KS1 assessments

Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress, development, attainment, and personal and social needs

Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire young learners

Inspire curiosity and a love of learning in children aged 6-7
