About the Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you’ll play a key role in helping children transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and confidence.

You’ll be teaching a lively and engaging class, supported by a welcoming team of staff and leadership who value collaboration and new ideas. The school is looking for someone who can bring energy into the classroom while maintaining a structured and nurturing learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Assessing and monitoring pupil progress Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues Building strong relationships with parents and carers Contributing to the wider life of the school
