Prospero Teaching are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Street, Somerset, for Term 6. The Role

Full-time Year 5 Class Teacher Covering Term 6, starting 1st June 2026 Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment Working alongside a supportive SLT and year group team Paid to the Main Teacher Pay Scale (MPS)

The Ideal Candidate

Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Has experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 5 Demonstrates strong classroom management and a pupil-centred approach Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to high-quality teaching Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements

Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Right to work in the UK Strong references covering the last two years as a minimum
