Workshop Operative – Temp to Perm
Exeter Airport, Devon
£12.40 per hour + monthly company performance bonus
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
gap personnel Exeter is recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a well-established business near Exeter Airport . This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager , you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of stock from Goods In through to production, picking, and despatch .
Key Responsibilities
Working from works orders and drawings, ensuring production deadlines are met.
Picking and packing items on the stores production line, ready for shipping.
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with replenishment.
Ensuring proper preservation of products from receipt to despatch.
Maintaining a clean and safe workspace, following HSE and quality policies.
Supporting lean activities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensuring company resources and assets are used effectively.
Operating machinery
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in stores or stock management.
Strong verbal communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach.
A methodical and organised work style.
A driving licence is desirable due to the site's location.
