Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience) Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Event Engineering are a Loughborough based live events company working for global brands on custom build projects. We are seeking a workshop leader to join our growing Design and Build Team to oversee the day-to-day running of our joinery workshop. No boring batch runs of identical items, youll lead our team in manufacturing and finishing bespoke event sets, exhibition stands and custom units. If you enjoy managing a close-knit team, helping them develop their skills and getting projects built on time to an excellent standard, this could be the perfect job for you. What will you do as a Workshop Leader? Work closely with the drawing office to understand job requirements Set day-to-day goals and build targets with the team and monitor progress to ensure jobs are completed on time Oversee quality control Develop the team and facilitate training, manage the team, including performance reviews Manage the organisation of the workshop space, oversee the upkeep of facilities and manage the stores This is also a hands-on role, including manufacturing scenic items on the bench and installing them on-site What we offer: The ability to progress your career Varied work with the chance to expand your knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials The opportunity to travel to deliver projects, both in the UK and internationally Private Healthcare and Rewards Programme, eyecare vouchers, EAP, 32 days annual leave including bank holidays, casual dress, free on-site parking, company events Were looking for someone with: Experience of leading others and creating a positive and proactive culture Excellent interpersonal, organisation and planning skills, Experience of working in a fast-paced joinery workshop, making bespoke items to short deadlines The ability to read and interpret technical drawings Experience of working in the events industry or a non-traditional workshop industry would be highly advantageous The core hours of the role are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday, however, given the nature of the events industry, the flexibility to work outside of these hours will sometimes be required. xehkeey You must be able to commute to our premises in Loughborough where this role is based.
