Workshop Controller opportunity in Derby

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a reputable main dealer in Derby. This is an ideal role for a skilled ex-Technician or Diagnostic Technician seeking to advance into a leadership position or for an experienced Workshop Controller aiming for a new challenge within a well-established dealership environment.This role offers the chance to oversee workshop operations, manage a team of technicians, and ensure the efficient running of daily service activities. Oversee day-to-day workshop activities to ensure smooth operations
Manage and delegate tasks efficiently to technicians
Monitor and meet productivity and efficiency targets
Support front-of-house staff with customer interactions when required
As a workshop controller, maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all workshop activities
Ensure workshop meets manufacturer standards and conducts high-quality repairsRequirements:

Proven experience as a Technician or Diagnostic Technician within a main dealer setting
Previous experience managing or leading a team of technicians
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Confident in a customer-facing environment, with excellent communication skills
Demonstrable knowledge of workshop processes and workshop management systems
Reliable and proactive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer serviceThis role is suitable for a hands-on, technically competent individual ready to assume a supervisory position or a seasoned Workshop Controller seeking a new environment to utilise their leadership skills.
