Workplace Designer

Job Description

JPA helps organisations to reinvent their workspace. We guide clients on a journey from initial design to implementation and maintenance, a full life cycle that builds a sustainable approach to ensure fit for purpose and inspiring workspaces.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Design team. This is a crucial role as it helps to turn the client's requirements and thoughts into visual form, but also helps clients with ideas and options.

For fifty years, JPA Workspaces has equipped Britain’s hospitals, universities, colleges, and workplaces we work with a number of key suppliers but remains agnostic, allowing for the right solution for the client rather than shoehorning product. We also find ourselves uniquely positioned to help clients reuse existing (perhaps with refurbishment or reupholstery), source second-life, or look at new. Sometimes this is for the NHS in staff rooms, sometimes this is in modern workplace environments. The exciting part is that each day is different.

The ideal candidate is a creative team player who will be able to take the brief from a salesperson or client and create 2D and 3D visuals to assist the client in the decision-making process. They will have a love of technology as well as workplace design to look at new ways to bring things to life.

The role will also involve assisting the sales team with presentation preparation and marketing materials with a design-led eye.

Responsibilities

  • Workspace planning – Use your spatial smarts to support our project team with basic space planning, furniture layouts, and visualisations.

  • Design sales presentations – Collaborate with our sales team to craft client-ready decks that don’t just look good; they win business.

  • Brand guardian duties – Maintain and evolve the JPA brand across all touchpoints (internal and external).

  • Maintain our imagery library – Organise and curate product images, present case studies, and moodboards to keep our content crisp and current.

  • Create marketing assets – From brochures and signage to social graphics and email templates – if it needs to look good, it comes through you.

Qualifications

  • A strong eye for layout, typography, and branding – with the confidence to own it
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint (yes, PowerPoint – we do a lot with it).
  • Experience working with floor plans, technical drawings, and basic space planning tools (SketchUp, CAD, Revit, pCon etc).
  • Organised – you’ll be juggling multiple projects and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
  • 100% office-based – this is a hands-on, collaborative role working closely with sales, operations and marketing teams, Monday to Friday.

Salary £27k - £30k depending on experience.
