Job Title: Workforce Management Specialist Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire
Role Overview We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Workforce Management Specialist to support site operations through effective manpower coordination and operational logistics. This hands‑on role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth deployment of site personnel, maintaining workforce readiness, and supporting the successful delivery of service and maintenance activities within a heavy industrial environment. Working closely with site supervisors, group leaders, and internal support functions, the role will contribute to maintaining productivity, compliance, and continuity across field operations. The position is primarily office-based with close operational involvement and flexibility to support site activity when required.
Key Responsibilities Operational Manpower Coordination
Allocate, mobilise, and schedule field personnel in line with approved workforce plans and operational requirements Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date workforce information within planning and scheduling systems (e.g. WSP or equivalent) Monitor attendance, shift patterns, working hours, and standby coverage to ensure adequate site resourcing
Site Support & Logistics
Coordinate travel, accommodation, and transportation for site‑based personnel Arrange the availability and delivery of tools, equipment, and materials to support planned works Manage workwear and PPE requirements, including inventory control, distribution, and replacements
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with QHSE requirements, company policies, and relevant statutory regulations Record, track, and report incidents, deviations, and improvement actions in line with management system requirements Work collaboratively with internal teams including HR, Finance, Technical Services, and Spare Parts to support workforce operations
Local Line Management (Where Applicable)
Act as line manager for blue‑collar employees, providing daily supervision, guidance, and performance support Identify development needs and succession opportunities within the operational workforce Promote adherence to company processes, procedures, and safe working practices across the team

Qualifications & Experience
Associate degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline Experience working within heavy industry, ideally in a service or maintenance environment Demonstrable experience in workforce planning, manpower coordination, or field administration within industrial, construction, or manufacturing settings Experience managing or supervising technicians and operatives Working knowledge of workforce planning systems and Microsoft Office; ERP system experience (IFS preferred) Strong understanding of QHSE standards and site‑based industrial or construction environments Experience operating within a matrix organisation and engaging with cross‑functional stakeholders
