Wood Machinist - Night Shift

Location: Hull Hours: 39 hours, Monday to Thursday, 5.30pm to 03.45am Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

Well-established manufacturing business in Hull, currently seeking a skilled and reliable Wood Machinist to join the night shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of woodworking machinery in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a range of woodworking machines including: Automatic and manual crosscut saws Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists Measure, cut, and shape timber and plywood to precise specifications Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on machinery Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards Maintain a clean and organised work area

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a wood machinist in a manufacturing or joinery setting Confident operating both manual and automatic crosscut saws Strong understanding of timber types and machining techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attention to detail and commitment to quality Awareness of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment
