Job Title: Wills & Probate Solicitor – 4+ PQE

Salary: Dependent on experience

Location - Bury - Hybrid working

A leading Legal 500 firm in Lancashire is seeking an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join its well-established and respected Private Client team.


This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with strong technical expertise and a client-focused approach to manage a varied and high-quality caseload within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing Wills, including complex Wills with trusts, business, and agricultural elements
  • Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (Property & Financial Affairs and Health & Welfare)
  • Managing full estate administration, including probate applications, asset collection, tax compliance, and distribution
  • Advising on inheritance tax planning, Deeds of Variation, and the creation and implementation of trusts
  • Registering and administering Will-based trusts
  • Providing tailored, empathetic advice during sensitive family situations
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA, Lexcel, and other regulatory standards
  • Maintaining accurate records using legal case management systems
  • Contributing to business development and representing the firm at events


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in Wills & Probate
  • Demonstrable experience in:
  • Drafting Wills
  • Establishing various types of trusts
  • Preparing LPAs
  • Full estate administration
  • STEP qualification (or working towards) is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
