As a Wholesale Lending Services Vice President within the Wholesale Lending Services team, you will play a pivotal role in building high-performing teams, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the loan lifecycle. You will collaborate with global partners and stakeholders, influence key outcomes, and foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. Job responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teams responsible for the execution, servicing, and origination of syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the loan lifecycle.
  • Oversee trade processing controls, order entry, trade execution, and settlement, ensuring alignment with operational policies and industry standards.
  • Build and cultivate high-performing teams through attracting, developing, and retaining top talent; promote a strong performance management discipline and succession planning.
  • Drive a culture of excellent client service, developing programs to enhance processes, reduce risk, and increase scalability.
  • Create and promote a robust controls environment, building partnerships with key control stakeholders through effective communication and governance.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with global stakeholders, business teams, and support functions, acting as an ambassador for WLS.
  • Implement technology solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, establish performance metrics, and lead change management initiatives.
  • Implement automation technologies and data analysis techniques to optimize trading and lending systems, enhance efficiency, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent WLS in business and risk forums, supporting audit cycles and providing complex operational summaries.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and creating a resilient and inclusive work environment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive experience in financial services, preferably in loan operations or related areas, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams in complex operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and its impact on business strategy.
  • Advanced knowledge of market products, order execution, trade execution, and settlement, with experience in automation technologies and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving mutually beneficial outcomes through clear, consistent communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to set long-term goals and develop actionable plans to optimise processes and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment, promoting inclusivity and understanding.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities & skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a financial institution, with advanced knowledge of loan origination, servicing, and transaction execution principles and practices.
  • Experience with LMA standard documentation and knowledge of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, leveraging strong proficiency in using loan origination and servicing software and tools.
  • Skilled in managing change initiatives, utilising market product knowledge to adapt lending services to evolving market conditions, technologies, and client needs.
  • Proficiency in developing quantitative reports to analyse performance and inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Developing proficiency in leveraging technology, including AI/ML, to create innovative lending solutions.
  • Expertise in managing multiple teams and managers, ensuring effective coordination and leadership across diverse groups.
