Welder Fabricator
Contek Recruitment Solutions are collaboratingwith our client who are a leading UK-based manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), specialized cabs, and bin lifting solutions, with a history dating back to 1907. Our client are renowned for their high-visibility, low-entry cabs (Elite range) focused on safety and urban efficiency. The role offers a competitive salary ranging between £41,301 - £45,115.20 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general MIG welding and re-plating on HGVs and RCVs.
- Strip and rebuild vehicle components including body, hopper, and bin lifts.
- Prepare vehicles to DVSA and high welding standards.
- Complete all work to customer satisfaction and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate records and follow company processes.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Communication: Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge/Expertise: Qualified in welding/fabrication (BSEN 287 coding desirable) with experience in MIG welding and medium-heavy steel fabrication (2mm–10mm).
- Innovation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and skilled in building and tack welding from drawings.
- Business Impact: Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude, comfortable working in confined spaces and physically demanding environments, and willing to learn new skills and travel when required.

- Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards and within agreed timescales.
