Our work includes major multi-storey developments, rail and road bridge construction, dismantling, temporary works, and propping, alongside general on-site welding support for various client needs. The Role Welder As a Welder , youll take structural steel requirements from fabrication drawings, engineer drawings, and verbal instructions to weld and fabricate steelwork to a high standard. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating a broad range of items, from small components to large structural elements for buildings and bridges, using the latest manual welding processes, always prioritising safety and quality. This Welder role requires a strong understanding of current safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently deliver a high-quality finish. Key Responsibilities Follow written and verbal instructions, as well as technical drawings and specifications, to fabricate structural steelwork Liaise with supervisors and steel detailers to resolve any queries Complete required documentation to ensure all work complies with legal, industry, and company standards Carry out welding using MIG, TIG, and MMA techniques as per project specifications Operate workshop machinery including gas cutting tools, press brake, and plasma cutter Work to deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety at all times Skills & Qualifications CSCS card Coded welder qualification Minimum 3 years experience welding and fabricating structural steel in the UK Experience working with materials up to 50mm using current techniques and standards Strong attention to detail with pride in producing high-quality work Able to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills Punctual, reliable, and flexible Able to work to tight deadlines
