MIG & TIG Welder Fabricator

Wellingborough

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the fabrication automotive sector, is seeking an experienced MIG & TIG Welder Fabricator to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator to work on a variety of bespoke and high-quality metalwork projects in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

  • Fabricate bespoke components and assemblies from engineering drawings

  • Use workshop tools and machinery (e.g. grinders, saws, press brakes, etc.)

  • Carry out quality checks and ensure all work meets client and industry standards

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

  • Collaborate with the wider fabrication and engineering team to meet project deadlines

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding

  • Strong fabrication skills and confident with various materials and thicknesses

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings

  • Good attention to detail and pride in producing clean, accurate welds

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player

  • Relevant qualifications or coding (advantageous but not essential)
