Overview
We are seeking MMA Welders on behalf of our client, a market leader serving the power generation, petrochemical, and offshore sectors. The role involves MMA welding of carbon steel castings, carrying out plate-to-plate butt welds. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and fabrication skills within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

* Perform Manual Metal Arc (MMA/Stick) welding on components including pipework, vessels, plate and fabricated assemblies in multiple material types.

* Interpret engineering drawings, weld schedules and procedures to deliver precision welds to specification.

* Maintain weld quality with an eye for detail; carry out weld preparation, finish and integrity checks.

* Work safely in a busy fabrication workshop with overhead cranes and heavy components.

* Collaborate with fabrication and inspection teams to support project timelines.

* Adhere to company health, safety and quality procedures at all times.

* Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to fabrication or welding processes

Skills

* Previous experience as an MMA/Stick welder (industrial/engineering environment)

* Ability to work from drawings and welding procedures

* Strong focus on quality and accuracy

* Good communication and team working skills

* Familiarity with welding carbon steels and stainless materials beneficial
