Job Description
My client in the Hemsworth area of Wakefield are looking for a skilled Welder / Fabricator.\n\nOverview\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components with precision and attention to detail.\n\nThis role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication, looking to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic environment.\n\nThe position is paid and suitable for those with relevant experience in TIG welding, sheet metal work, and mechanical assembly.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals, including sheet metal and fabricated components\nUse hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete fabrication tasks accurately\nRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise assembly\nAssist in the fabrication of metal structures, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality requirements\nConduct inspections of welds for consistency, strength, and quality\nMaintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use\nCollaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety procedures\nProficiency in MIG welding and general fabrication processes\nKnowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical principles\nAbility to read technical drawings, blueprints, and perform basic measurements using standard tools\nExperience working with sheet metal and assembly processes is desirable\nStrong mechanical knowledge coupled with good problem-solving skills\nBasic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment\n\nWorking Days\n\nIND123
