MIG / TIG Welder needed for a permanent day shift role in Sittingbourne. £17–£19 per hour DOE plus overtime at 1.5x. Monday–Friday 06:00–14:15. Thin gauge TIG, MIG welding, great benefits, training and long-term career progression.

The role
This is a day shift position within a busy production environment, focusing primarily on high-quality TIG welding of thin gauge materials, alongside MIG welding and light fabrication work.
Key responsibilities
• TIG welding on thin gauge materials (approx. 0.9mm–10mm)
• Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• MIG welding and basic fabrication tasks
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Carrying out self-inspection and quality checks
• Communicating progress and any issues to the Day Shift Team
Leader
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
Skills and experience required
• At least 5 years’ TIG welding experience on thin gauge materials
• Confident MIG welding ability
• Able to read and understand technical drawings
• High attention to detail
• Reliable team player with good communication skills
Desirable (not essential)
• Aluminium TIG welding certification or experience
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication
