Job location: Mitcham, CR4 Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour | weekly pay in arrears, every Friday Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am 5:00pm (10-hour shifts with 1-hour unpaid break) Job Type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent
Smart Solutions is looking for Weighbridge Operator to join to our busy waste & recycling plant based in Mitcham, CR4 area.
Were looking for a proactive, safety-focused Weighbridge Operator to support the efficient, compliant and customer-focused running of our weighbridge operations.
Weighbridge Operator -Key Responsibilities:
Operate the weighbridge to accurately record vehicle weights in and out
Input data into internal systems, including vehicle and material details
Manage weighbridge documentation: tickets, waste transfer notes, and compliance records
Direct vehicle traffic safely within the weighbridge area
Ensure site compliance with all safety and operational procedures
Ensure all activities uphold Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards.
Generate regular reports on weighbridge activity
Weighbridge Operator: Person Specification:
Solid knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
Understanding of waste regulations, duty of care and transfer notes.
Strong competency with weighbridge software and confident IT skills, including Excel.
Good level of spoken and written English
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in a weighbridge or waste management environment is essential
