Salary: £13 per hour Hours: 19 hours per week, Thursday Friday (06:45 16:30) plus every other Saturday. Location & Postcode: Sutton Courtenay Landfill, OX14 4PW As a Weighbridge Operative at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site. Youll be responsible for operating the weighbridge, managing waste documentation, and providing a professional and helpful service to customers and drivers, while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements. This vacancy is for a part-time position, working two days per week plus every other Saturday. Our promise to you - Competitive salary - 20 days annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays - Pension scheme - Life insurance - On-the-job training and progression - Recognition scheme - Refer a friend scheme - Flexible benefits, including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership (where applicable) - Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and Best Doctors Service via our wellbeing platform What will you be doing? - Operating the weighbridge system, booking vehicles in and out of the site - Maintaining accurate records in line with Duty of Care and waste management requirements - Ensuring waste transfer notes remain in date and are correctly archived - Inducting visiting drivers and keeping appropriate records - Providing a courteous, helpful and efficient service to customers, drivers and subcontractors - Keeping the weighbridge office and surrounding area clean and tidy - Logging and managing soil samples where required - Working safely at all times and reporting accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions - Supporting the Site Supervisor and wider site team with day-to-day operations - Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required, including supporting other sites if needed What are we looking for? - A reliable, honest and hardworking individual - Good attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records - Confident using systems and following procedures - Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to deal with changing priorities - Strong customer service skills and a professional manner - Good timekeeping and the ability to work as part of a team - A willingness to complete required training and competency modules About us We are FCC Environment, one of the UKs leading waste and resource management companies.
