Youll play a key role in protecting public health, working closely with operational teams and applying your knowledge in a practical, supportive environment. The current post holder has just been promoted, so this is a genuine opportunity to grow into a broader role.

What youll be doing

  • Supporting compliance with Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations & DWI standards

  • Working with operational teams to manage risk and maintain high standards

  • Contributing to monitoring and sampling programmes

  • Helping investigate water quality incidents and issues

  • Ensuring QA/QC processes and best practice are followed

  • Using data to support continuous improvement

What were looking for

  • Experience in UK drinking water / water quality

  • Good understanding of water regulations and compliance

  • Background in water utilities or a similar environment

  • Familiarity with sampling, monitoring, or QA/QC processes

  • A calm, thoughtful approach to problem-solving
