Job Description

If you’re a well-rounded, hands-on manager who knows how to get the best out of people — someone who can lead from the front while keeping clients confident and operations running smoothly — this is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a specialist Water Hygiene and Legionella control environment.

You’ll be joining a business focused on delivering high-quality compliance services, where your ability to motivate teams, manage clients, and oversee technical delivery will directly influence success across Water Hygiene programmes and Legionella management. You’ll also get:

  • Regular social events and a supportive, people-first culture
  • Investment in your wellbeing, development, and professional memberships

What your day could look like

Imagine starting your day reviewing team performance and client priorities, before heading out to meet a client, scope new work, or support engineers on-site. You’ll be the go-to expert — balancing leadership, technical insight, and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting a team of Water Hygiene Engineers
  • Acting as the main technical point of contact for clients and engineers
  • Managing service delivery across in-house teams and subcontractors
  • Overseeing compliance, risk assessments, sampling, and maintenance programmes
  • Reviewing reports, quotes, specifications, and team outputs
  • Driving business growth through client management, upselling, and new opportunities
  • Conducting site visits for risk assessments, monitoring, and project scoping
  • Ensuring all services meet required standards and deadlines
  • Supporting operational systems including CRM, reporting platforms, and scheduling tools

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds Level 2+, BOHS, or equivalent)
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays (fully expensed)
  • Confidence in client-facing work including sales, quoting, and relationship management
