Exciting Opportunity for a Waste Management Supervisor in the East Midlands

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waste Management Supervisor to join my client's Environment & Waste team in the East Midlands. This is a key role overseeing the Waste Transfer Station (WTS) and Waste Haulage Operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and operational efficiency.

This position is an excellent opportunity for candidates with supervisory experience in the waste management or similar industries, with a focus on leadership, health and safety compliance, and the management of HGV drivers and waste management operatives.

The main duties of the Waste Management Supervisor are:

·Supervise and manage Waste Transfer Station (WTS) and Waste Haulage Operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and budgetary requirements ·Lead and support the team of HGV drivers and waste management operatives, managing recruitment, attendance, disciplinary matters, and training ·Oversee the safe operation of the WTS, ensuring site rules, health and safety protocols, and legal requirements are adhered to ·Act as CoTC (Certificate of Technical Competence) holder for the WTSs and provide cover when needed ·Manage tachograph data, vehicle checks, and compliance with driver hours regulations ·Conduct regular inspections for health & safety, environmental, and quality assurance ·M...
