Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work alongside our technical lead and others to manage the waste exemptions regime. Waste Exemption (WEX) charges, implemented on 1 July 2025, are designed to bring environmental, regulatory, and business benefits, while also increasing workload in E&B. The role involves placing WEX on a sustainable regime footing and managing it similarly to other chargeable regulatory regimes.

You will:

Ultimately, you will own all aspects of WEX, supporting the wider team’s work and priorities.

The team:

You will join our national Waste Treatment and Transfer team, which leads on biowaste, non-hazardous and hazardous waste, metals, fire prevention, and waste exemptions.
