We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Waste Collection Driver in Huddersfield. This is a full time role working Monday to Thursday 10 hours a day 40 hours per week Purpose of role To collect waste from residential and commercial properties, driving vehicles up to and including HGVs in compliance with legal obligations and expectations for driver behaviour in line with Traffic regulations, the Highway Code and legislation for health and safety. Working as part of a 2 or 3-man crew, y ou will be required to attend an induction and pass a driving assessment before you can start this role
Duties Driving a HVG Refuse Wagon Undertake duties of a refuse loader or other cleansing duties as needed Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly Comply with the Councils health and safety procedures and policies The ability to undertake heavy lifting as you may need to assist with loading of the vehicle Supervise waste crews and manage their day to day operational functions (via paper records or electronic hand held devices) including all Health & Safety relating to the daily tasks Undertake operational duties which will involve a wide...
